The Cardinals are in town and that just makes me mad. Last year the Mets lost to the Cardinals in Game 7 of the NLCS and it just so happened that for the first time in my life I actually had World Series tickets, should the Mets have made it. Well, not even “The Catch” by Endy Chavez could propel us into the World Series…I am over it…well not entirely.

So it is with great pleasure I report that the Mets have been dealing the Cards, nothing but losses this year and last nights 11th inning heroics by Shawny Green allowed me to rest peacefully.

Mike Maroth pitched a great game allowing 1 run and 2 hits. The Mets has Jorge Sosa on the mound and he pitched decent as well. It was when they turned the game over to Feliciano with bases-loaded, when my stomach started to get tight. The Mets bullpen looked like the bullpen of old and I hope this is a trend that continues.
